Hello, my name is Raegan Holle and I am the author/creator of this website! This webpage is all about adversity and how it is see in a novel, a movie, artwork, YouTube videos, and more! In my exhibit you will see many unique posts. You can simply scroll down on the homepage and click on the image or title of the post that you are interested in. You may also look at the tool bar on the top of the webpage, click on the desired category, and choose which specific piece intrigues you. In this website I spoke on how adversity is seen in the novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. I completed five journal entries that summarize the main charater’s journey, as well as how adversity is seen throughout his life. You can access these journals, which are broken down by page number, by clicking the desired post on the homepage or by clicking “Journal Entries” on the tool bar. Secondly, in this exhibit you will also be able to access a reflection on the movie Wonder and read on how adversity is seen in the character’s lives. You can access this by simply clicking on “Movie – Wonder” on the tool bar! Thirdly, by clicking “Artwork” on the tool bar, I have provided five pieces of art and I have described how unique each form of adversity is! Fourthly, you can also gather some inspiration from the five YouTube videos and explanations I have provided about overcoming adversity by clicking on “YouTube Videos” on the tool bar! Lastly, my favorite article provided is the “Blog Post” in which I present some ways to positively face adversity! Lastly, remember that this is an exhibit that has been curated, so everything is there for a purpose!

As you go through this exhibit, there are a couple of things that I hope you view. To start, I would definitely recommend checking out the blog post! As mentioned earlier, this post is one of my favorites as it has some great take-away points and strategies for dealing with adversity if and when it arises in your life! In all, after viewing my exhibit, I hope that you will come to realize what adversity is, how impactful it can be, you will be inspired by those who have experienced great adversity in their own lives, and you will come to learn just how many forms adversity can take. It is my hope that you can take a couple of minutes to check out the artwork, Movie review, and YouTube videos about adversity! After viewing these things, hopefully you will come to realize how many different types of adversity there is, as well as how these situations were handled (trusting in God as shown from the artwork, realizing how many blessings that you have as shown in Wonder, working even harder as shown in the videos, etc.). In the end, I just hope that as a reader you can come to see how impactful adversity is, as well as how much dedication, trust, and hard-work is needed to overcome it.

Lastly, as I have performed this curation process, I feel that I have definitely grown as a person. Through doing some research and finding all of these different forms of adversity, I feel that I have learned a lot. I have learned the importance of meeting your hardships head on. I have found that one should stay confident, positive, and should work hard to get through the times that they are experiencing. I have discovered that running away from adversity and difficulties will not always lead to success, so that is why it is important to meet it head on. Also, through this curation project, I have learned so many different strategies that can be used for when stressful times arise. I have realized the significance of staying confident in yourself, finding supportive people to guide you, and turning to God for someone to lean on. As a curator, though, I have definitely learned how to present my information in a pleasing manner and only choose the most important information/topics. As I wrap up this note and conclude all of the pieces that I wrote about in this webpage, it is my hope that you can come to realize that adversity comes in many forms, it is present in everyone’s lives, that someone is always there to help you, and that you should aim to stay positive even during the hard times.
